VOIP is an abbreviation for voice over IP. Voice over IP means that voice data is transported over IP networks like the internet instead over classical phone lines. Because traffic in the internet is cheap one can save a lot of money by processing phone calls via VOIP instead doing a usual phone call. The nice thing about it is that you can setup everthing in a way that the normal enduser will not be able to distinguish the VOIP call from a normal phone call. He will - like he is used to - take a phone and dial the phone number of the person he wants to call.

There are several parts which can be used together to form a complete solution. However not all parts need to included in such a setup and therefore it is highly adaptable. Basically everthing from a private end user just up to an enterprise solution can be realised. I will present you my setup and you can take from it what suits your needs.
